One of my favorite couples of all time. I mean all my couples are my favorite but I've had the privilege of getting to know Lesley over the last several years and have watched her little family evolve. It started when she was a single mother with mini me, Mykaela. I've been photographing them for years and watching her and her daughters relationship has been one of my favorite things over the years. Not just because they've become great friends but because of who they are as individuals and who they are together.
I remember for one of her annual family picture sessions she surprised me by asking if she could bring a special someone along. Of course I said, the more the merrier! Her future Mr. (Justin) would be that special someone who tagged along. I remember thinking during that first time meeting him that he fit perfect. Like that last missing puzzle piece you've been missing and all of a sudden it just shows up. I could see from the moment they showed up how Lesley was glowing and just beaming with happiness. I could feel her love from him. And Justin was completely smitten. The way he looked her you could tell he loved her just as much. When I left that session I remember thinking, he's the one! She found her puzzle piece.
A short while later Lesley reached out and asked if I would capture their wedding, I was so ecstatic for her & Mykaela. I would have flipped the world upside down to have made sure I was there for this one. The way they love each other and love as a family is truly inspiring. I can't wait to keep capturing their journey and wish them many, many years of playfullness. (this is who they are as a couple) Everytime I'm with them it's full of laughs and good times.
